LegacyLine: LedgeLock Rear Sight Precision engineered for shooters who demand both legacy and innovation, the LedgeLock combines a military-inspired design with Heinie’s LegacyLine proprietary hybrid dovetail system. Finished in matte black to eliminate distractions, it offers a clean, snag-free sight picture. The wide square notch allows for rapid front sight acquisition, while the serrated rear face with contoured, forward-slanting edges prevents snagging in everyday carry. The integrated lip facilitates one-handed slide manipulation, providing an edge in tactical or defensive situations. This rear sight is designed to replace factory sights machined with a .500″ x 65° dovetail and features a .325″ tall rear profile. It requires two small machining cuts to the slide for proper installation. After modification, the EZLock mechanism secures the sight firmly in place, delivering consistent point of aim and point of impact. Compatible with a wide range of 1911 pistols, the LedgeLock preserves factory front sights and is backed by detailed installation instructions for a smooth setup.
